Hi all I have a bit of problem I am putting on a 91 turbo manifold on my 94 NA and the left manifold elbow is rubbing my thermostat and every time i try to tork the manifold I get a coolent leak do to the added pressure. Two options in my book get a half inch peace of steel and shim the manifold or shave some of the thermostat. If you have any another tricks up you sleves they would be most helpful.

Im guessing you are talking about the Exhaust manifold. If so, you might try posting in the Exhast forum. Sorry I have no expirence with this problem.

The Right Way to handle this is to switch to a water pump and thermostat housing for a turbo model.

Vikash is right....you can swap to a turbo pump. There is an extra fitting you'd have to cap off, but that shouldn't be too big a deal.
