Got a Exhaust

Post by Legacyturboguyin253 »

I got a aftermarket downpipe not sure of the brand but it came off of a STI and it has the 3rd cat delete. I used that and the stock mid pipe off of the legacy ss and a blitz nurspec axel back and it works perfect no modifications needed. Just you need long exhaust hangers so the exhaust wont melt the bumper.

I noticed an increase in power and torque and more turbo noise.

Could we get some pictures?
Is the downpipe a one pice or two?
Is it a 3" or 2.5"?
Is is a bellmouth, divorced wastegate design, or wastegate plate design?

Sorry for all the questions, but this will help narrow down what pipe you have.

Exhaust

Post by Legacyturboguyin253 »

It is a bellmouth and it is 3" and it is designed for the wrx with the 3rd cat delete. It is one peice. I still have the stock legacy ss midpipe with the cat. And everthing fit perfect except i need longer exhaust hangers to allow the exhaust to hang lower so it wont burn my bumper!!!!

I will try to get a pic up soon.

Sounds like an Invidia or Helix.

DOWNPIPE!!!

Post by Legacyturboguyin253 »

Its not a Invidia that wouldn't work because it didn't have the flex joint inside of it!! And its not a helix its not a polished peice its just stainless steele. The bellmouth isn't as open at the invidia or helix its like a HKS downpipe with a wider opening!!!

Invidia downpipe dosn't have a flex joint. That is odd that it is like the HKS with a wider opening. Maybee a quick fix to an HKS? Pics would help immensely.
