Post by hack0r »

Well where to start well even on my old vf10 runnin more that like 10-12 psi of boost my engine would like bogg. But now with the vf22 it way worse coz i cant stop the turbo from pullin 16psi!!! lol soo need to work this out quick soo i can take my turbo for a proper spin.. just read about the maf signal being over 4.4volts.. maf is the air flow meter right?? does anyone know which wire is the signal??

thank 4 any ideas in advance..

if it only bogs when you get on boost, it may be your coil. Thats how mine acted.

Check your plugs also.

What would your coils have to do with it? hack0r do you have any form of boost controll? Because you need it.

And it shouldn't bog, the computer should cut fuel when the turbo is pushing that much air. Unless you have some kind of fuel cut defender.

Plug gap causes misfires. Check that, and simply replace the plugs.

If you are SURE it's a misfire, that's a good chance of being the reason.

the bogg sounds like fuel cut allthough i've only ridden in a car once when this happened. the whole car wound down and it was kinda rough, but once the boost sgot back under 12 psi, it was fine.
this link is on the board somewhere...i'll just post it because i was looking at it.

He said it was happening a little with his old turbo as well, so its probly not fuel cut. When I hit fuel cut, the whole car jerks like I hit a wall. Then it goes again.

Hack0r: Pull your plugs, if they look alittle fouled- replace them. Plugs are cheap. Its a good time to go one step colder anyway(BKR7E I think)

If you replace the plugs and nothing changes
Check the coil. To do so:

Unplug wiring connector and check resistance between the center wire and the two outside wires in the connector. you should get about .7 ohms between each.

Then check the secondary coils by measuring resistance between the parallel outputs(where the plug wire attaches) i.e. between 1&2 the 3&4. you should get about 13.8K ohms.

Well some things you might try anyway.
