what is the best way to hollow out the secondary cat ( the one that looks like a turtle)? just use a hammer and a punch, or maybe a breaker bar er something? any help?

A long tube or pipe, then a slightly hooked VERY strong wire to yank out the interior.

Take it off and splice in a pipe. Then when you have to do the emissions
thing--put it back on..

I unbolted the entire exhaust, then unbolted the 3 section from each other. then I rammed a section of tubing into the cat to break up the catalyst and then used a section of small diamter metal to yank out the sections of catalyst.

I used a piece of rebar and a BFH, then a big rock bar. dont breathe the dust of the cat material, and dont get it on your hands. its platinum which is a really bad carcinogen.
