Yup, despite -3L of prestone and -2.5L of oil, the engine still runs great ! hahaa (overheat a little bit but runs good )
Had a huge prestone leak caused by the Turbo prestone tank bottom plug broken, and have a _quite huge_ oil leak in the water pump area (wich drains 2.5l of oil / month) ... and had to get to work and back home for 3 days on those conditions ... (work + school = no time to work on the car).. but the car supported those conditions quite well.
Fixed the tank today, and put a complete 3l of prestone back into the engine ... now i have to do something with that oil leak / drain
thats pretty much how I run mine, it leaks prestone all the time, when I giv'r it sprays prstone on my windshield, Tried to fix it with jb weld, it keeps going through, I have a spare rad but its for a manual...
Yeah, I think the stock cooler is great though. The coolant in your radiator is probably going to be between 100 and 170 degress under normal weather. The operating temperature of the ATF should be just higher than that.
Just driven 140 miles with leaking gaskets (you name them they were leaking oil) and 80 of those miles were on three cylinders as have misfire
It's at the rally specialists http://www.townendgarage.co.ukalongside Colin McRae's ex-WRC 22B getting some much deserved (if not slightly overdue) TLC
