Had them surfaced and cleaned. Next stop valve job and delta cams

Are those EJ22t heads? If so what year?
I ask because the EJ22t heads I took off have different coolant passages.

Ej22t on left. Ej25d on right.
You see that the coolant passages match.

No, these are n/a heads. I have a set of ej22t heads also, but im not using those. Interesting post though, thanks.

What benefit does the 2.5 gasket have on a 2.2 head?

hmm make sure to get the delta cams and a decent exhaust.
good DD motor but not really a race car.
