Need to replace my gearbox

What is the easyest way to take out the gearbox?? is it under the car or the same way as the engine??
Maby someone have som pic??

Welcome to the board. A lot of questions have already been answered if you search around a bit.

Everybody takes the tranny out by lowering downwards.

I´l just bougth a 97" gen.4 impreza tranny and a 05" impreza 2,5L sti clutch.
I belive it should fit.

It won't fit.

97 = push type clutch. There aren't provisions to bolt the clutch slave cylinder (which you'd need to use the clutch) to the transmission.

05 STi = pull type clutch, AND it will hit the bellhousing of the 97 transmission.
