One good thing finally happened to me at the end of this week.
Walked into the dealership to get my car looked at, ended up staying all day washing cars

Yea, they want me full time.
$10/hr and a 30% parts discount. I can live with that.. Not to mention I get to drive the occasional STi

Although, I'm surprised they didn't give you 10% above cost for parts. Most dealerships do that for employees.
Figuring a discount from list price and figuring a discount from cost are two very different things

Sounds like the best dealership experience ever. Congrats!
I went to get some nuts and bolts a few days ago and the local dealer didn't have any of them.

well Splinter your welcome for getting you that job.. Yeah, its a fun dealership to work at, and today i got to drive around the block (damn) a WRX with a Full STI swap and front mount running at over 20psi.. hehe.. makes me wanna wet myself.. lol

I had that same job a few years ago, started washing cars for the service department, then a little while later was the full-time detailer for almost two years.
Yes, it also was a Subaru dealership
I had so much fun there, and I learned alot. Also, I have driven almost every Subaru model ever sent to North america.
It was awesome.
