I recently purchased a used Rear LSD from Matt Monson out of a '91 Turbo Legacy sedan which I'll clean-up and re-build with new seals and gasket.
Question is will it change the final drive ratio???
I am putting it my BF '91 NA 5 spd. manual Leggy wagon if it all works out OK

The '91 SS VLSD is a 3.9 ratio. I believe the N/A 5MTs are a 4.11, like oil and water the two DONT mix.
You are going to need a SS/TW (turbo) 5 speed trans... or you may be able to rebuild the rear diff with the VLSD carrier and a set of 4:11 gears, a lot of work and tricky to get set up right. If you wanna keep your 4.11 5MT there are 4.11 LSDs, I think they come from USDM/JDM WRXs.

No matter how broke I am... I always seem to find two cents.
