+1. They look over see some hawt boys, try to be cute by showing them how fast their car is and BOOM, the passenger doesn't have a head and daddys little girl has the steering column through her heavily padded chest.

I didn't say you were but a lot of people are put off by the fact that it really is one hell of a bang for your buck. On top of that the engine is extremely responsive to relatively cheap mods. That combination is more than enough for people to have so much hate for it 8)

That turbo Neon motor is actually pretty well built. The rest of the car on the other hand...

It's really the best part of the car... My biggest wish for the engine was for it to find a home in the dodge razor.

Ive heard of around 500hp out of the stock long block on those srt-4's.
they are definitely in the spirit of a turbo dodge, crazy motor in an ugly and cheap car.
I kinda like em, not enough to ever consider getting one though.

I'd much rather have a Shelby Omni. Those things HAUL and they're rare.

I've heard the "GLH" on that Omni was for "goes like hell." Cool little sleeper, but Omnis are really ugly IMO.

It's my understanding that 60% of the earliest-released SRT4's blew their headgasket.

That's worse than Subaru.

Check out the bottom end of one. Head gaskets can be redesigned and torque revised.

Lancer lol. I drove a bunch of those when they just came out. Mostly the OZ Rally ones. I nicknamed them the NO Rally Lancers. They handled like dog shit on dry and wet pavement so I was sure there was absolutely NO potential for rally use. Just a catchy way to tack on a couple grand for rims and floormats.

OZ Rally Lancer  A few years ago a dealer called me to say they had some for cheap. I asked about an Evo, he was like "Uh...wha?"

I'd have to put any ford at or neer the top of my list. They dont make an exciting car (anymore RIP GT) oh and mustangs arn't exciting more like nausiating. so anyone that owns a ford car is either old, has a different cooler car, or whines about how fast their focus/STANG is. All the truck owners either buy an F-150 cuz everyone and their mom has one already, or because its Built Ford Tough, and F-250/350/450 etc. owners just talk about how fast their powerstrokes and v-10s are or whine when their 6.0L diesels blow because well THEY SUCK ASS. Thats my general thoughts.
