WTB: 91 SS aluminum MAF, Knock Sensor, coolant resavoir

Post by boro »

Like the title says. I need that stuff. My ECU is throwing those codes plus a few others that I am in the midst of handling. Basicallyit telling me that all my sensors are dead, or reading incorrectly. So before I try and source a new motor, I am going to try fixing these thigs and see if it helps.

So if any one has any spare parts:

-Aluminum MAF from a 91 SS
-91 knock sensor
-pressure sensor
-pressure switching solenoid (above the factory boost control)
-water temperature sensor (nm, i can get it for $20 at work)

I do have all of the parts that you need, but before you spend a bunch of money replacing things I would suggest troubleshooting the problem more accurately. Our cars are notorious for throwing multiple codes at single problems. In fact, based upon that list I am going to guess that the coolant sensor is the problem and the correct fix. Replace that first and get back to me...

ok so I am pulling off the manifold either tomorrow or tuesday to replace the coolant sensor and check out the knock sensor. I also need to replace the manifold gaskeet. I hope thi smakes a difference.

How much for the knock sensor if you still have it?
I also would like to grab that pressure switcher and MAP sensor set-up from the passanger side strut tower.

Shipped to 63043?
Thanks.

I went up there today, but I wa sin my work truck and didnt have my vin so they couldnt look it up. But I know I do have the old one, it wasnt recalled. Figured I may as well grab it from them. I wonder if they do all the work free, then I could have them, install new intake gaskets and my coolant sensor while they are at it!

You don't need to pull the intake to replace the coolant sensor. I just did mine and with the deep socket and some extensions I got to it just fine. One less thing to fuss with.
