Rubber bushing kit available?

Post by turboleg »

I'm looking to replace my rusted through rear X-member. While I have the rear diff dropped I am considering replacing every rubber bushing and mount in the rear or the car. I have seen kits for older cars (the cars that are typically being restored). Is there such a kit for the legacy? If not, can anyone list all of the bushings, links, and mounts that are back there on the AWD? I don't want to forget anything when I start ordering. Thanks!

Lateral link bushings x8 (6 the same and 2 different)
Front and rear trailing arm bushings x4 (2 front and 2 rear)
subframe mount bushings x 4
rear diff mount bushings x 4 (2 upper and 2 lower)
diff outrigger bushings x 2
swaybar mount bushings x 2
swaybar eyelet bushings x 2 (only if you have a '91)

That's about all I can think of off the top of my head.....

Thanks a lot!!

That helps a lot. I can order everything up before I get it in the garage and get everything torn apart.

I know the rear diff mounting bushings are different than some RSes (I know the '99, but probably others). I was lying under my uncle's RS and noticed that the rear diff bolts to bushings directly in the crossmember instead of a rear support which in turn bolts to the subframe.

All the suspension bushing should interchange perfectly, though. I have a full set of Impreza polyurethane suspension bushings waiting to be installed.

Any specific manufacturers that you would recommend to get an aftermarket (upgraded) set of suspension bushings?

I got my set from SuperPro, an Australian company. The US distributor is globalperformanceparts.com
