Turbo swap

Post by simbey1982 »

I know that a WRX turbo will fit in our legacies.

However what considerations are there for that swap?

My turbo just went all to he** and I need to put in a new one. WRX ones on ebay are a dime a dozen

Let me know what i should be looking for

THanks

It's not really that much of an upgrade. It's a lot of trouble, if you're gonna use something without the 90 degree elbow use a vf39.

this topic has been talked about many times on this forum. Searching can be very helpful.

once I started using the search button, I found my self spending too much time reading answers to my questions to have any time to ask them.

I just finished my swap that I've been procrastinating on for about a year. It is fairly difficult, and there is alot to be said for a mcguyver mentality, but I can help you out with pics and motivation. heres a suggestion: Use the td04 if you are just looking for something cheap. If you want an upgrade, just buy that vf-11 that RAD has and save your money for something that really "bolts-on" like a td05-16g with a 90* inlet.
Kickin' it old-school.
