FS: AN fittings for clutch hose

Post by IronMonkeyL255 »

I have in my possession the 2 fittings required for adapting a universal AN-3 hose to a '91 SS clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder.

I bought 2 of the banjo fittings (AN-3 to 10mm), assuming that they didn't change from '91 to '92. I was wrong, and only needed one and had to scramble to order the proper fitting for the slave cylinder (AN-3 to m10x1.0). The correct fitting came in packs of 2, though, so I have an extra one of those as well.

I'll part with them for $15. All you need other than these is an AN-3 hose. I used a 14" hose with a straight swivel and a 90 degree end, though the same ends on a 12" hose would have been sufficient. I put the 90 degree end on the slave cylinder and the straight end on the master cylinder.

Here's a link to the site where I ordered my hose and one of the fittings from.

For clarification, these are for use if your slave cylinder has a fitting that looks like this:

I have no real use for these, so I figured I would offer them up for anyone else that may need them.

I'm interested.

So you're using a banjo with banjo bolt and 2 washers on the master end, and a AN-3 to m10x1.0 ( http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/produc ... RecId=4191 ) on the slave end?

Not that specific adapter, but that is what I did.

The Earl's version has a slight inversion on the M10x1.0 end that I felt was necessary for proper sealing. The stock fitting had it, so I went through the trouble of getting it.

If you want, I could probably get a pic of my setup. The hoses that Pegasus carries are genuine Goodridge hoses, so they are good quality.

Yeah, please get a pic of it.

The pic of the Earl's version is pretty poor. http://www.bakerprecision.com/adapt10.htm

Here's a better pic of just the fitting:

Note how it inverts towards the end in the right hand pic. That seems to be where it seals, and what the Pegasus version seemed to be missing.

My camera sucks, so I couldn't take a pic. The only shot I could get is of the end attached to the master cylinder. The slave cylinder is inconveniently stuffed far under my WRX TMIC.

Oh, yeah.

I also have a brand new banjo bolt for this as well. I ordered one for each banjo fitting I thought I needed, then only turned out to need the one.

$15 shipped will do it.

They are small and light, so it shouldn't be much to ship it.

I figure that's a bit less than I paid, but you do still have to order the line. Even with the line, though, it's still pretty cheap.
