um, you can get the turbo from deadbolt, or look for a used jdm one on ebay. some times people sell them on this site. make sure its has the 90 angle inlet or you'll have to do some fab work.
the turbo will bolt right in. as for injectors, you can use your stock ones but they will be maxed out really easy with this turbo, probley around, 13,14 psi but im not really sure. so dont hold that one on me.
if you want more then 12psi, you'll need a fuel cut defender. i would start looking for some fuel management and engine management after that point.also get a good, quality boost gauge and boost controller.
what kind of intercooler are you going to use? top mount or front?

To start with, you will need:
Walbro fuel pump,
larger ( 3 inch) exhaust and a good downpipe)
That will be just for running stock boost.
For more than stock boost you will need:
FCD, Boost controller,
at about 12 lbs you will max out the stock injectors.
From there you will need larger injectors and some EM to control them.

You are actually maxing out the MAF sensor.....which causes the injectors to go to 100% IDC.
At some point you will start to lean but in the 12-14 psi range....you just don't have any control (this is assuming you have a good fuel pump)
So in reality to make things work properly, you need a higher range MAF sensor.

Not to hijack the thread but would one of these be useful in the situation you describe?

I just subscribed to Grassroots Motorsports and they say these are great, cheap way to control fuel. Anyone here used them? They are big in the Miata world...

Actually, I am running a TD05 16G on the stock MAF with no issues. When I had it tuned, they said it was not maxing out at the 18lbs boost I am running.Legacy777 wrote:You are actually maxing out the MAF sensor.....which causes the injectors to go to 100% IDC.

I run 21 psi on stock injectors, with consistent 11.5:1 AFRs
I have a piggyback though...
From my experiences with boost experimentation, you can safely do 14-15 psi on a VF8/VF12/TD05...after that the MAF rails, and the AFRs go immediately to around 15:1 on boost...which is very bad
