Post by soobgoob »

fuel pump in my 91 sport sedan in completely spent. the sending unit is also bad. were there differences between turbo and NA pumps? and what models and years of subarus will have the correct fuel pump for my appication. thanks!

I think that someone her onec told me that all turbo subarus, that use ej series motors, use the same fuel pump, Even the STI. I know that the WRX and the STI (no matter what model year) use the same pump, but I'm not too sure about the legacy turbo. Do not use an N/A pump, it will be wrong, but let me check some part numbers and I'll be able to tell you.

You're sure that your getting fuel into the cylinders? Which pump did you use?

Make sure you have your feed/return lines correct. I made that mistake when i changed out a motor.
As for the pumps the T-leg pump actually flows more then the STI or WRX pump, and they are both different. Just get a walbro and be done with it.
