Fuel injectors

Post by greatjorb88 »

Does anyone know if a fuel injectors for a '94 legacy will work with a '90? 2 of mine are faulty and I found some on ebay for cheap: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FUEL-INJ ... enameZWD1V
Impart some wisdom unto me!

Not really. The fuel rails are different, and the injectors are slightly different as well.

You also need to make sure you get the same type of injectors. The 90 & 91 non-turbo MY's had different injectors between the AT & MT vehicles.

But........

If you swap fuel rails, then all is dandy.

Not really.

The ECU is (sort of) matched to the injectors. The car will run, but in my case, I experienced running excessively rich when using 92-94 injectors with a 90 AT ECU.

As I said....you can physically do it, but I wouldn't recommend it with my experience.
