bushings bushings and bushings

Post by macipusy »

OK first off steering rack bushings.....I have searched and people are using the 200 and 202.....so which part number is ideal for 91 SS?

All other bushings....which would be best bang for the buck....Super Pro? or chepo polyurethane?

Thanks

I still haven't done the front end yet. It's easy to go all 110% but you get burnt out before it's all done. Projects get done in stages, so it'll probably be next summer when I do the fronts.

That should get you started.

rack bushings are 202. AFAIK no us cars use the 200. Maybe some old base model imprezas.

I asked the guys at Rallispec what I would need to basically redo the undercarriage of my 94 Legacy with Group N bushings, and this was the response I got:
Dave at Rallispec wrote:94 Legacy sedan is BC chassis. According to STi all GC8 suspension arm bushings (including front control arm from & rear bushings) are applicable to the BC. Same goes for front strut top mounts, engine & transmisisong mounts, and pitch mount. Rear strut tops depend on actual model year….MY91 and MY92 will require top mounts exclusive to those models (which is available) whereas MY93 and MY94 use the same rear top mounts as GC8.

As for rear diff and crossmember bushings. The correct ones for BC will be RST-4153 and RST-4150. Crossmember bushings show to be the same as the GC8. Therefore pricing would be as follows:

RST-2020R STi Hardened Bushing - Front Control Arm Rear RH 41.00

RST-2020L STi Hardened Bushing - Front Control Arm Rear LH $41.00

RST-2021 STi Hardened Bushing - Front Control Arm Front (2 x) $20.00

RST-2023 STi Hardened Bushing - Trailing Link Front (2 x) $17.55

RST-2024 STi Hardened Bushing - Trailing Link Rear (2 x) $17.55

RST-2025 STi Hardened Bushing - Lateral Link Outer (4 x) $10.52

RST-2026F STi Hardened Bushing - Lateral Link Inner Front (2 x) $14.02

RST-2026R STi Hardened Bushing - Lateral Link Inner Rear (2 x) $9.35

RST-4153 STi Hardened Rear Diff. Mount Bushing (2 x) $35.05

RST-4150 STi Hardened Rear Diff. T-bar Bushing (2 x) $35.05

RST-2022 STi Hardened Rear Crossmember Bushing (4 x) $14.02
Dave, My order is coming. Please be patient.
