'05 WRX Clutch Slave and/or Master Cylinders into SS?
Will an '05 WRX Clutch Slave cylinder work with a '92 SS Master Cylinder?
Story: My '92 SS is getting an '05 WRX transmission (and other needed parts). We found that we could not bolt up the stock Clutch Slave Cylinder. My question is, can I just get the Clutch Slave Cylinder from and '05 WRX and bolt that up, or do I also need the Master Cylinder, or will none of that work at all?

Should bolt right up.
Just FYI, I just put an '06 tranny with '06 slave cylinder bolted to '91 master cylinder, and everything works beautifully.
Subarus are like Legos, which just happened to be my favorite toy when I was a kid.

Well put. That's one of the reasons I dig them. I still play with Legos on occasion, but I've got an 11-year-old brother I can use an excuse.IronMonkeyL255 wrote:Should bolt right up.

If the '06 and the '91 mixed, I'd imagine the '05 and '92 would also.

Can't hurt to try.
I already had a braided SS hose which I could switch around the ends on, so I had to change a fitting or two, but the clutch pedal effort actually feels better than when I had all SS parts in the car.

It's a bit softer (though not really soft) and the engagement point is more in the middle instead of at the very top like it was. Also, it seems to engage more smoothly, though that may just be a result of the engagement point and pedal effort changing......

Interestingly enough, I can't even seem to find anything about this unit in the FSM.....

It's a damper unit. I did not install it when I did my swap, and no I haven't been able to find any info about it either.
