You do need some sort of restrictor for the oil feed.
My old T3/T4 had fitting with a tiny hole feeding oil into the turbo.
When you think about it the restricor actually increases the pressure, but decreases the volume of oil getting into the turbo.

well that explains it, i dont have anything restricting volume... i do understand that im not changeing the pressure, but i do need to change the volume.. the fitting i have is evidently letting in too much oilBXSS wrote:You do need some sort of restrictor for the oil feed.

Where are they available at? I'll likely need one once I feed oil to my TD05-16g via the oil filter sandwich.

Not 100% sure if it is the same as Mitsubihsi (GVR4 / Eclipse) TD05s, but those have a narrowing down of the oil passage-way going to the banjo oil-feed bolt.
So if you have the correct turbo oil feed line you should not need a restrictor (as it is built into the feed line).
