Basically, make the wiring harness, remove the brackets off the old headunit and put them on the new one and put it in, its fairly straight forward.
But knowing the headunit would help a lot.

yeah pretty sure we use Japanese frequencies here . I will keep my eye for double size units but atm im just keen to get some beats on so im not gonna do to much waiting.Oz uses the Japanese frequencies in car radios, right?
yeah the previous owner had it raised 40mm. He did a lot of offroad driving. He was head of the subaru club here in perth. The club pretty does monthly trips around Western Australia.
