Any Subaru dealership should carry this. SubaruGeniuneParts.com can get one to you fast.

Um... people don't put filters on manual transmission models. The fluid doesn't actually circulate per se.

Why do you believe you need one quick?

Oh geez, I didn't even see that it was a 5MT.

The 5MT has no filter, as vrg3 pointed out.

Just change your gear oil when it needs it. If there's a bunch of crap in there frequently you should probably get the transmission seals (or the whole trans) replaced.

Well my speedometer stopped working so I decided to try to fix it. I started by taking the little metal tube off that screws into the transmission. I found out that the cable was rusted in half and this mud looking stuff came out of the transmission so I decided to change it but it didnt clean out all that gunk. So can anybody tell me what came out of my transmission and why. I thought my Transmission filter was stopped up but I guess mine doesnt have one. The car has over 300,000 miles on it.

it sounds like it was just the well used gear oil coming out.
it really should be changed every 100k or so.
