I recently installed a cone filter and immediately after I stared getting really bad gas mileage. Like REALLY bad. and also I can smell fuel strongly. Anyone know how to fix this?
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
I've seen people saying on this board saying that adding a cone filter will reduce HP and you wont gain anything. But in my experience with this It feels like the throttle is definately more responsive and maybe theres a bit more power there aswell. I think this is because my model takes the air from the engine Bay instead of the fender your like your guys does.
Hazah? I peeped your posts and would love to see pics of your engine bay. What is this crazy 94 DOHC has a snorkel but the air intake is in the engine bay freak you have

I might be able to get a few pictures for you people soon. Mine is probably different because I live in New Zealand and my car was imported from Japan originaly. Some of the differences also may be to do with how the steering wheel is on the other said and stuff but yeah I dunno.

Good mileage--that's not turbo'd is it?

i experienced this same problem on my car. from the factory, the cone sometimes comes with too much oil on it restricting the flow of air. it takes a little bit for the oil to evaporate, so you can wash the filter your self then re-oil it yourself with less oil on it.
