That guy's got a VF10 for $150. They're both pretty similar turbos.

rslc is definitely a great place to find them, but shipping could be a nightmare. i'm hoping someone has one here in the states. isn't the vf10 closer in size to a td04?

Sorta kinda...

They are basically a VF8 coldside with an 18R hotside...

I've held one and my VF8 next to each other, and there is quite a difference.

I can find a TD04 or TD05H for you if you need it.

i might be interested in a td05 for the right price. i like the idea of the vf8 as being somewhat of a middle ground between the td05 and a td04. i recently bought a great condition td04 from boostedballs and plan on using that for a summer project, but would like something bigger for daily driving.

I say bigger is always better. There are a few 90* inlet turbo's for sale on Yahoo auctions Japan. You can take a look at the available turbos here: http://list1.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/20 ... -leaf.html?

i really wouldn't be comfortable sending the money first as it is an auction and there's no telling what the final price will be. if you are able to find a good condition td05 and the final price plus international shipping is in the 200 dollar range, then you've got a guaranteed buyer.

200 bucks? your off your lid fool. Turbos are expensive, becuase they make power, and are in demand. Try 400-600 bucks for any turbo that has 5 in its model. or 90*

Dunno how much that is... but its a vf-8!

And the 90* inlet has been unbolted... you may be able to bolt the one off your vf-11 onto it... maybe...

i saw that vf8 and it does look perty. i think the vf11 inlet would work on it and at 12800 yen or 125 bucks the price is right. i'm definitely keeping my eye on that one. :D

The yen rate is actually in the Japanese's favor right now so 12,800 yen is more like $134.

damn dollar and it's weak sauce. oh well i took a look at shipping rates and it's pretty much double what the turbo would cost to ship it. :( looks like i'm back searching on the home-front. thanks for the thought though.

Shipping is cheap. Under $15 anywhere in the US.

Shipping for those tails to me would probably be $20-30 to me and then maybe $15 from me to you. I live in the Hawaii of Japan so shipping to me sometimes sucks.

I just picked this TD05H up this after noon. I am asking $350 shipped, but I am open to offers. It doesn't come with the water hardlines, but I can either get some new at Subaru or you can take them from your old turbo.

You have first dibs as I talked to you about finding a TD05, but I didn't pick this up for what I thought I could. I doubt I will ever find one cheap enough to send your for $200 shipped. Turbo's are still rather pricey here in Japan. Sometimes I see amazing deals. If I don't sell this it will just be a spare for my friend.
