I'm tracing some electrical connections using the schematic in my
Haynes manual. I'm stuck at the MPFI control module because I can't
find it. I have a 90 Legacy wagon. Anybody know where I can find this
module on my car?

MPFI control module
Turbo?
There is no separate MPFI unit, it is part of the computer. The is a couple
of sensors that effect it that are separate. There is 4 wires that go to
the computer that control the injectors plus a common ground. What problems
are you having? I have been very intimate with the wiring harness of our car...

MPFI control module
The car is non-turbo. My A/C compressor won't kick on. I've been
tracing wires and I stopped at the 4 conductor compressor cut relay.
I have power at the propper constant + connector and I can make the
compressor kick on by jumping the + to the apropriate connector which
leads directly to the compressor. So I have two more connectors left
to check. One wire (blue) goes to the MPFI control unit according to
the schematic I have. So I need to troubleshoot at this connection. I
know that the A/C system has the propper pressure - the problem is
definately electrical. So now I have two different opinions. You tell
me that there is no separate MPFI module and another poster says it's
above the steering column. I'll check tomorrow to see if I can find
it above the column and I'll be waiting for your suggestion too.
Thanks,
Marc

MPFI control module
Found it... sorry about that.
MPFI unit has 6 wires correct? Blk/bl, Red/yel, Grn/Black go to the
instrument cluster and Red/blue and Blue go to A/C system and Red/yel are
for the A/T control unit....
Found it on the diagram.
You have checked the wires from the engine bay back?
