The valvebody still should be modified if you want it to tighten up for real. An extra clutch can be massaged into the low clutch and BMS has a really nice high clutch. If you are throwing decent power at a internally stock auto you are still going to burn it up slowly.

This probably modifies the signal going to the dropping resistor.

Yeah....I think the picture is not the right picture.
In the description they talk about disconnecting the dropping resistor to see if shifts improve, and whether the small car kit would help.
Modifying the signal to the resistor is about the only way to change shift firmness. You however do NOT want to disconnect that resistor all the time.

The TCU only has so much control over the firmness of the shifts. It can only take it so far then you have to go inside the tranny.
