I will soon be without a Legacy...

Post by 555BCTurbo »

...but I'll still have 3 Turbos that I will be directly involved with.

I have a confession to make...

I am trading my SS for a very built 1985 Audi 4000S quattro this weekend. (Built as in 10k miles on a new motor, SDS standalone, T04E turbo, etc.) I have kinda wanted a change for a long time, and this car will fit the bill nicely.

It has been a very hard decision to make, but I figure that my ties to the Legacy community will not suffer, as I still have Laura's car to play with, as well as Aaron (93ScoobyTour)'s TW to help build.

I won't be leaving this forum...y'all are my boys...I ain't gonna leave ya; which also means that I will continue planning WCLCM 3 and be there to partay it up Legacy style.

This ain't the last Turbo Leggy I will own...and I ain't goin' anywhere! :D

Audis are heavy. Ask Legasee. You'll be back.

Your radiator's in the wrong place :)

And holy huge blow-off valve Batman!

Despite my aversion to German electronics, I'd still pimp an S1 Ur Quattro.

Have fun with it.

Mike...I'm gonna be an Audi Nazi...lol...

The S1 and Ur quattro are a different beast...

The S1 is the competition prepped Sport quattro...

The A2 quattro is the comp prep Ur...

That's coming off today. Nick doesn't like that sort of thing. A 1g DSM BOV will be taking it's place. But it works great since the Audi uses a MAP sensor.

Edit:I think I get it now.

This is the Ur Quattro right?

I figured since this is called the S2:

... that the Ur Quattro must by default be the S1. But the S1 is the full-blown rally car like you said.

I love it. 3rd gear seems to grind. Why does the tac move when the left turn signal is on?

How is the 4ktq?

3rd gear does have a bad synchro...so shift it very slowly...

The tach thing is an electrical gremlin that I never got around to fixing...

No...there was no shadyness involved in the deal...he was given the option to test drive the car, and declined...and I was very up front about any major issues the car has...

Both issues mentioned are not major...

Derek- the synchro is fine as long as you shift the car nicely...rev matching helps a lot.

It is probably cheaper to just put a JDM transmission in the car than to have the synchro replaced...but the transmission should have many more miles on it.
