So, i'm starting my project. 64 bug with a ej22t and i need the most important part, the powerplant. This seems like an awesome site and you guys definetly seem very helpful. My dad also has a subaru swap going. He has a sandrail he's putting an '05 wrx engine into. He has the whole donor car luckily and it seems to be a little difficult wiring wise being so new. I've emailed enginewiring.com and he said due to an extennsive anti theft device the harness will be a little more work to cut down. If anyone has any info on this that'd be helpful. Thanks.
'64 bug soon to have ej22t

For help with the 05 WRX swap search through this specific forum for a bit http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=87
The 05 was the last year of the two liter engine and also the last NON IMMOBILIZER ECU!!! The engineharness guys are incorrect. If he truely has an 05 WRX engine it should be similar in difficulty to an 02 WRX swap. They did change the wire harness but if he gets the FSM for the MY of the engine he'll be just fine.
