Legacy details and specs

Post by metalhead77 »

I'm new to the forum, and to Legacys. I just want to know some basic details of my vehicle. I'm fairly confident it is a 1994 Subaru Legacy L with a 2.2 Boxer that isn't turbocharged. However, in those details, I am sure of three. It is a 1994, it is a Legacy, and it isn't turbocharged. If anybody on this forum has details they can share, please do. Thank you.

well its a good car should get good fuel economy and be reliable like any suby. Check in the back of the car to see if there is a diff then you know it is awd. Welcome aboard.

How do you know for sure that it is an LS? Also, what is the engine size? Is it a 2.2 like i think, or is it a 2.0, or a 1.8, cause supposedly that option was available too. If need be, I can post pics of the engine on here for you to check. Thanks

I am betting on LS as well since it has a sunroof. Definitely has to be a 2.2L non turbo. Check out this site.

In response to ericem, that site kind of confused me. The S's and O's, what do they stand for? In response to SILENC3R, I do not believe it is all wheel drive, but I will check again when I get it worked on and inspected. Here's another query for you all. The EJ22 (I believe that's the correct engine code), how many Legacy's, or other Subaru models, was that available in. I am speaking of the non-turbo'd version, and I would like to know model years and spec option, such as AWD and things like whether it is a Legacy (or Impreza, or Forester) L, or LS, or Sport. Thanks.

S is for standard and O is for optional on that model.

So, can anyone tell me what other Subaru models (and years) have the 2.2 non-turbo motor?
