Leaking fuel neck

Post by Sequel88 »

Hey,

My 92 Legacy wagon recently started leaking gas from it's fill neck. Upon inspection, it appeared that it had been patched before, and that the patch had come undone. I repatched it, and it still didn't fix the problem. Is the pipe difficult to replace? And also, does anyone know where I can obtain a replacement? Thanks!

The filler necks are unfortunately a common spot for rust. Dirt collects between it and the plastic cover.

You can buy a new one from the dealer or get a used one from a junkyard or see if someone from the board has one.

It's not too difficult to replace.

FYI on a 92 LEG SW awd a new dealer one over the counter is over 150.00.
