- sedan ; resivoir in trunk

Post by N1446 »

there is water accumulating in the trunk where the jak is normally
when i got the car it was filled completely and i shop vaked the water away
i repaired the holes around the outer rim of the hatch where i thought the water is leaking in from and now it is permanantly sealed and still - water is accumulating in the resivoir -

- there is drain hose comming down inside the pillar from the left side window ; - i ve read is the moonroof drain hose ; i ve made sure the drain is in the correct fitting specific for this hose to drain through to the ground i imagine - still water accumulates after rain

any sugesstions ?
i m not able to find where the drain is if it is clogged or somthing

Probably coming in from the antenna opening?
Check the seal there for leaks, spray it pretty good and inspect.

Put your rear seats down and lie in the trunk with a flashlight w/ the lid shut.
Have a friend spray water on the car, look to see where the water gets in.

Yea it can be possible. Best thing to do tho is get the friend to hose your vehicle down so you can stay in and look for the leaks. Spray around the entire rear of the vehicle working your way up. If you start from the top it might be harder to locate the leak because of gravity.
