I'm totally confused with this. the ignition switch has 5 wires coming out of it, okay. But then it plugs into a connector to the main loom, which has 4!!! So whats the story with this mystery connector. Does the connector to the loom come with 4 wires from factory or has it been hacked out when the turbotimer (now stolen) was put in?

What's left of the harness for the turbotimer and the old ignition switch connector.
haha, I noticed the same thing when I installed mine (there is a thread of it with pics somewhere)... didn't seem to matter and no one could tell my why the new one had an extra connector...
Okay, I have power to ECU. Fuel and AWIC pumps are going. I just don't have the starter.
Now one of the 30 amp fuses in the engine bay are blown, so that probably explains the starter. Now, what does fuse #17 in the door kick panel protect?
Well my car is JDM, so it's going to have many little oddities like a 5th wire. The replacement igniton barrel assembly came from a V5 STi, and it has a 4 wire plug.
