FS: '03 USDM WRX tranny swap

Post by Matt Monson »

Hello,
I've got a takeout tranny from a customer's car for sale. It's got 131k mi on it and has no issues. It does include the 3.54 LSD rear end with driveshafts, and the shift linkage. I am looking for $600 obo.

Buyer to pay actual freight shipped on a covered pallet. It can go to a residential address but will cost $100 extra because of fees the freight company charges. A business address is cheapest, and even cheaper if they've got a forklift. I don't make a profit on freight. If you want to use your carrier instead of mine, I don't care.

Let me know if you have any questions. There will be no pictures since we all know what a transmission and rear differential look like.

I'd be interested in this if I didn't have a cable clutch and had more power, as I don't need my car to be any slower.

On a side note, would the LSD from my 2000 GT slot right in to my 98 L, or would I have to use the GT's axles?

Dave,
I didn't know you picked up an L. Legacy or Impreza? Your L should have the right (male stub) axles for your MY00 LGT's differential. I am 100% sure on that for a Legacy L. I am 75% sure for an Impreza.

If not, I've got axles if you need them. I've got plenty of axles.

The L is a Legacy wagon. Good to know that if/when I part the GT out I can swap the LSD in, because I know that I'd miss it this coming winter.

Bump for the sale!
