I have a EJ22 and I just put everything back together. When I try to start it, the starter goes "click" and that's it.
I checked the battery, and it's good. I don't know where to go from here. Any suggestions would be great.
You may have knocked the starter around and the contacts might be shot and that was enough to stop them from making a connection.
I had a problem with the starter and sometimes it would work and sometimes it wouldn't. The contacts were worn and not making a good contact with the plunger. Try tapping it with a hammer. I know when it doesn't complete the circuit it just clicks which is the sound of the plunger moving but since it's not completing the circuit it won't engage the starter motor.

I also found a connector that isn't connected. But I can't find anything to plug it into.
Right by the passenger side headlight. There is the plug that goes into the headlight, then there is another plug underneath it. What is it and where does is plug in? Fuel pump maybe?
I think I had that same plug on my 90 NA wagon and never knew what it was for.
I wouldn't worry about the fuel pump until you can get the engine to turn over.

Do both fans come on when the radiator fan kicks on, or does only the driver's side? There should be a jumper connecting that, which makes both fans come on together.
