Wrecked
On my to-do list for the next set of upgrades was replacing the RE92's with newer rubber and stiffen up the suspension, especially the rear. Tonight, both bit me in the ass after I got off work.
Going too fast around a left-turn gradual corner. Felt the end start to swing around, so I compensated right, and then left again. Ended up rotating the back around to the front so I was 170* from the direction I was originally going. Slid sidways over the curb, into those small 'designer' trees, and then into some additional shrubbery right next to some condos
After a bit, cops came, took lots of pics of my car, property damage, breathalyzer test, etc. Gave me the case number, citation coming in the mail, set out flairs, I called a tow truck, and then waited for it to come. Luckily, I only walked away with airbag rash on my arms. Who knows the hit to the pocketbook yet.
Tomorrow, I'll take pics in the light of the damage. Basically the driver and passenger doors on the left side had a small tree slide into them -- windows didn't break though. Also the body below the door is creased in. The front left wheel is wrecked, not sure about the control arms, etc. Front bumper got touched, since the hood doesn't quite close, but it doesn't appear the front corner/area moved in a lot. This type of thing even worth repairing / repairable?
Tomorrow, after taking pics of the damage I'm going to try and get a few estimates from local body shops (anyone got a recommendation for one in northern Seattle?). Right now I'm considering a few things:
1) Repair the body damage
2) Buy another 91-94 turbo car and swap my upgraded components in. Sell the leftovers / part out.
3) Buy a newer Subaru... haven't really looked around yet, but would consider most things which are 'sporty'. Part out the old car.

If you remember my wreck, I was quoted $7k for the repair. Basically, if any of the pillars have moved or any underlying structural sheetmetal has been eff'd with, it will be too costly to justify fixing that old of a car.

I can't quite tell, but it looks like the floor's bent in the last pick. If not, you could replace the doors and weld in a fabbed/junk yard sill, but is it worth it? I'd probably swap the stuff into a new shell.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

I hate to say it, but I concur. A reshell is in order.
Pick up an clean, but needs mechanical work, AWD wagon and start the swap. Everthing including the interior.
*I only say AWD because it looks like part of your rear is bent and you'll be needing a new "something" anyways.

Yea, I've come to the conclusion that it's beyond repair. Several body shops gave $7-8K estimates.
Now to find another 91-94 turbo and swap my stuff over. Or I suppose part it out and get a newer 'sporty' subaru...
Will update tonight with pics of the property damage and my arm.

Yeah you don't need a turbo. Pick up a n/a wagon or sedan in good shape and swap the running gear over.
If you want to get really good, you could swap the interior and body wiring harness so you don't have to add the turbo sensor wiring.
I'm reminded of an ex gf. She had an S2000. I mentioned to her that the rear tires were getting down there, and she should look at replacing them. Not too long after that it was raining real heavy one morning, she hydroplaned, the ass spun around and tagged a center concrete guard rail.

Hmm for some reason I thought having the turbo body/bits was required unless I Was going to be swapping every single thing. Yes, I realize Josh has done a NA -> turbo swap but you're way out there .
For a NA -> turbo swap one needs to pull what exactly?
* engine
** turbo
** exhaust
** fuel pump
** maf
* ecu
* tranny/clutch
others?

Any who, I thought the ECU was the same between the NA's and the Turbo vehicles? Also in your Sig it says you have a Revtronix Stage 2 so the MAF on the NA should be the right one. One other thing is you need the cross member that the motor mounts are bolted to from your vehicle instead of the NA cross member or the up pipe won't clear. I know I'm forgetting something else????

Pull the entire bulk head wiring harness. well all of your harness take your dash out will make it easier but I'm not sure if its required. When I had a leaking fuel pump sending unit the dealership told me that the sending unit is different than an n/a car, as stated above a crossmember. exhaust, radiator, brakes.
