BC strut tower bars are not that common. I came across a pair of CUSCO bars at Cobb Tuning a year and a half ago and sold them to members on the board.
They're very helpful on the wagon, as I can speak from personal experience, but not quite as much on the sedans.

Have a well-made Cusco-looking one in my wagon and it knocked off a high-mileage creak or two. Didn't really notice it being significantly stiffer, but eliminating the creaks was worth it.

Did you notice a difference when you put them on?

I definitely did when I put the front on, all of the creaking noises that used to happen in the dash when I would hit hard bumps completely disappeared. So it definitely stiffened up the chassis.
The rear one I am unsure about, because I put it on the same time that I put my rear swaybar on. That said, the combination of both of those made a TREMENDOUS difference. The car almost WANTS to oversteer around corners rather than understeer. I did learn that if I'm going around a corner fast enough while it's raining and I'm mid-turn, that if I gas it just enough, it'll kick out the rear end
So in my opinion, yes, the strut bars helped. Even if they didn't do anything performance-wise (which they do), it would almost be worth it to buy them just for the sake of getting rid of all of the creaks and groans in the car.
Also, I remember reading somewhere that the old Legacy rally cars originally started off without a front and rear strut bar, but eventually a small crack would start at the bottom middle of the windshield. They thought it was because of chassis flex, so sure enough they threw on the strut bars to help and the problem never arose again.

I also noticed a difference in stiffness and I lost a creak with the front bar, but little with the rear, as I already stated. Front is definitely worthwhile.

The rear bar is definitely more debatable for the wagon, I think, because you have to remove it to fully utilize the interior space and I didn't notice an appreciable difference beyond the squeak reduction. However, my bar is simple to remove if you keep an allen wrench handy, leaving the brackets in place.

Firewall or bulkhead. I think some people have oriented them so the bend faces forward.

If your intercooler sits against the firewall, then you need to get a strut tower bar that is either forward-facing or raised. Either one should clear your intercooler then.

There's a great Australian based suspension company called Whiteline, just google it.
The site probably has what you're looking for, they have it all BC/BF and whatnot.
One problem though, shipping and handling from Australia is f'n outrageous. I wanted to order a pair of rear sway bar mounts, with the poly urethane bushings- shipping was f'n outrageous at $92.00, just for shipping. So I didn't get them.

Peace.

I got my 20mm adjustable rear bar from those guys and it came fast. Got here in a week or less. From australia! Those guys are here in the states but they are a whiteline dealer and they have whiteline drop ship your parts straight from australia so you don't have to cover the cost of shipping it to them first and then out to you.
I paid $220 for my rear bar and shipping was free (or included in the price, however you want to look at it) but I believe it was a lot more expensive directly from whiteline.

OS is the type I've always had. Oblong aluminum bars with blue endplates.
OS will do fine.
