'04 Sti BBS wheels, Fitment??

Post by Slow Hatch »

Got a chance to pick up some silver '04 Sti bbs wheels. I've seen a couple pictures with them on our cars. Will I need to run spacers to clear the stock suspension??

They should fit, but you'd probably have issues with fenders rubbing, not suspension.

Ok, just figured since they were a high offset. 7.5 wide with a +53. I'm getting them today, so i guess we'll find out.

Welp, pick em' up today. And I was right. They fit fine in the fenders, but rub the rear struts. Need some spacers

I tried the spacers, and it still didn't resolve my rubbing issue on the bottom portion of the strut. I actually had to go with a 50 series tire to fix my issue. Although, I was using a 16" RS wheel, not really sure if you can get a 50 series tire in 17.

Yeah, spacers will help you out. And if you're lowered, may notice the negative camber a bit more with bigger wheels and tires. Rear camber bolts will help you there as well.
