How wide is to wide

I'm looking at some wheels and they are 225 R16 they don't have the sidewall on there.

Um, what? Wheel width is measured in inches.

you need offset, rim size tire height ect.

225's are not fitting your stock wheels though, either are 16's.

The 225's will fit on a 16 inch rim so long as the depth of the rim is at least 7 inches. You MIGHT be able to fit them on a 16x6.5 inch rim, but I'm not positive. Also, the offset will need to be somewhere around +48 to +54 (+/- 1 is fine) and the sidewall will need to be 45 or less.

the tires are on the rim the wheels are from a outback. I just needed to know if they would fit but I'm sure I can figure it out thanks.

Outback wheels, generally speaking, are too big. They will not clear our struts.
