Garret 60-1 T3, Anyone have one?
I am thinking about buying this turbo from a friend. He had it on his Nissan 240 for like a week. Specs are as follows:
Compressor Specifications:
-60-1 compressor wheel with a max flow rate of 61 lb/min
-0.70 AR compressor housing
-Good to 520 whp
Turbine Specifications:
-Stage 3 or Stage 5 turbine wheel available
-0.48, 0.63
-4 bolt standard turbine discharge
-360 degree thrust bearing
I am thinking of putting this on my SS after I get the Dohc's and Linkecu installed. Does anyone have any experience with this turbo, or any input in general?

i noticed that you said .48 and .63 A/R's. that size of a turbo im guessing that the exhaust housing will be the .63.
im running a .50 trim with a .58 hot side. oil cooled jeurnel bearing Garrett on my Lego. you car will be pretty damn fast with that turbo and some good flowing heads. i was originally going to buy the same turbo for my car. 60-1 from turbonetic's. but i couldn't find one that had a smaller hot side then .63.

Where's the pics of the hot side? If it's a .48, that is awfully small. If it is a standard frame turbo you could find a larger housing, which would pair nicely with decently flowing heads.
I'm stepping up to about a 65 lb/min turbo and mine might be available. Depends if my buddy wants it or not.

good thing I'm not trying to make 520HP then haha. I'm getting this turbo for basically the price of a used TD04, so I'm gonna run it for atleast a while. I'm sure it flows well enough to over come what my tranny can think about holding...
