So we are trying to figure out why its not starting. Everything is wired up perfect but there is a pin inside the aem that is burned that might be contributing.

Feeling cynical but having high hopes about figuring it out.

Any ideas appreciated

The good: the wagon is complete and so so so sexy. everything is swapped over and looking good.

the bad: Tried to make a dyno-tune session with multiple people in portland (pdx..surgeline..etc) and that didnt work at all. the map for this car really blows, and driving back from portland without getting it tuned was the most depressive thing ever, although the colder it got outside and the higher the elevation got..everything sEEmed better. BUT i am going to get a better base map made..based on teh existing map and logs, by either maxwell power services or surgeline. i know they will help and do a great job until i can actually get the car dyno'd and have it actually live up to its ridiculous potential. :-D

HUGE HUGE thank you to spencer, dave, and brandon for helping me with too much to list.

Zach,

The Subaru 4-pots only fit under RS 16" wheels correct, and not WRX wheels?

Thanks

Is that 3" charge piping? If so how did you sneak it between the headlight and the frame rail?

I suppose you don't have bolts for the bumper beam.

Thanks josh :-D

yeah if they (teh 4 potz) dont fit under the wrx wheels its because they don't arc over the 2 outer parts of the pistons on the calipers.
they may, i am not completely sure someone else can chime in. :D

yyyeeah...... there isnt a bumper beam hahaha!

we decided to just not mess with cutting the bumper beam and not put it back on. we made epic brackets instead on teh frame.

Did you have to clearance the pipe or headlights at all to sneak the 3" piping through? That is all I'm wondering. I'll need 3" charge piping on my cold side eventually.

I see.

With the size of my IC and it's placement, I won't be able to angle it through.

yeah but if you are creative with the pipe and its angles.. im sure you can get it to work. you could make it come up more to the sides of the bumper instead of right away like mine. or you could change the direction of your intercooler...etc

The intercooler is set and isn't moving, if you recall my thread. It is also much larger in width and depth.

The corner is rather tight, and I may have to do some strategic pounding to make 3" happen on the driver's side.

my next response then is for you to maybe use straight pipe on the 90* angle to connect it? so that it avoids the headlight possibly.

^^yeah looking again that wont work either.

and it wouldnt make sense to mold your headlight housings to accept the pipe angles.. because your beam pattern might end up scattered all weird.

also looking at my picture, i think my frame was cut to accommodate the pipe angle. theres your answer maybe.

There is some room between the headlight housing and the actual lens, which I am taking advantage of for my setup as is. It could be possible to notch the headlight housing to make it happen, and seal it up again.

I'll cross that bridge when I come to it though, which won't be until fully worked over heads are on order, and a 2.65 L.
