Ground Control guys help me out

Alright, I got a killer deal on some AGX's in perfect shape. So, I figured, instead of farting around with another mix and match setup,
I was going to go with the Coilover Sleeve application specifically meant for the Legacy.

Now, my one concern. They only list 92-94. Is that because of the rear perch issue on the rears of the 91? I'd like to know, because if I have to, I'll source tophats from a 92-94 sedan if I must.
I'd hate to be stoked about putting this in, then find out I can't get the rears to work with my top hats. Then wait yet another week to get this to work!

Yup, just get some 92-94 rear top hats and go for it.

i'd do some strut bars too. taking the nuts off the top rear shock are a paiin in the ass...unless you have an air ratchet.

btw you do know there is some grinding on the strut right?

The worst part by far is getting the rear struts out of the car. I cant get my impact in there so im left using a breaker bar and pipe. On top of that the perch nuts are a real bastard to get at as well.
Im ready for some grinding, mostly the reason i didnt buy brand new ones to hack up. Thanks!

ya have fun with the rear perch's. its going to piss you off lol. but when you get done, its worth it.

Alright, so i got the tops for the 92-94. Now my question is do i need the spring perch thats used with the stock springs as well? Because the tophats i got are missing that.
I figured it wouldnt be necessary, but im not 100% there.

no, the gcs will come with their own upper spring perches.

i thought the rears were pretty reasonable for R&R, after I figured out you need to remove the seat. 1/4 ratchet up top and 19mm on the bottom.

would a ground control setup from an 02-03 WRX work on my 91?

I know I'm going to need new rear upper mounts..

I have KYB AGXs.
