Heater

Post by spoore »

Well I had mentioned that the vents didn't blow a few days ago. Well now the car, when the heat button is pushed only blows out hot air 50% of the time. The Temp gauge is in the middle where it should be, but no hot air. Then all of a sudden my feet get warm and it is blowing hot, then it will turn cold again. Since it is getting close to cold weather I really need to get this one fixed. I thought I would come here first and ask for suggestions.

Possible air pocket in the heater core? Check your fluid level. If the coolant is completely full inside the engine, the heater core is one of the first things that gets left out.

definitly sounds like a pocket of sorts is in your coolant system. I've used this before to make sure no pockets are left. a very GOOD tool to have.

see this tool: http://toolcraze.com/Merchant2/merchant ... gory_Code=

as you can see, prices vary. but they stay around 20 bucks.
