Transmission Gearing question

Post by Pooparu »

I've got a 1995 Subaru Legacy wagon with a cable clutch transmission. Anyway I need to find out for sure what geared transmission is in it 'cause I need to buy one.

Transmission code: 87-TY752VAAAA

I've found 2 different listings for subaru transmissions and one said 4.111 & the other said 3.900. So which one is it?

thanks in advance for the help

The info I have says it should 3.90. However I'm not sure about that.

If you post or PM your VIN info I can try and check it to see if I can confirm that.

Why are you replacing the transmission?

According to this transmission chart

TY752VAAAA = US Legacy Outback MY94 = 4.111

'11 WRX Limited
'94 SS | 3" TBE, 07 TMIC, TD05H-16G, Revtronix Stage 2, Walbro -- Sold
'94 TW | R.I.P.
