WTB 98 and older AWD 5 speed

Post by mellow65 »

want to buy a good 5 speed from a 98 and older awd.

it needs to have 2 things,

one the older style tail housing that has the removable inspection cover
and two must have the 2 drilled and tapped clutch fork pivot points inside the bell housing. i want to say these started around 93, 94, 95 range.

would like a driver, no noises, no grinds, nothing weird.

final ratio doesn't matter, 3.90 or 4.11 will work.

I've got one, but I'm on the east coast. It's out of a 98 outback, runs fine. Slight diff whine on deceleration, it just needs a lash adjustment via the side bearings.

I'll take $200 for it, but shipping is a bit cost prohibitive... I think it's too heavy for GH, so freight may be the only answer. I have pallet service at work, so it would be significantly cheaper, but still no less than $150.

Mileage is ~102k, BTW.
