very easy to fit, because we removed the engine to fit the EJ20 closed deck with wiseco pistons and made new hydro valves.

yes i drive with the original 380cc sidefeed injectors, no problems with walbro pump and stock ecu.

but with the vf35 we must do the boost a little bit higher, original was 0,8 bar hold and 0,9-1 bar peak. now i have 0,9 bar hold and 1,1 bar peak because i drive with 3" stright pipe :) so i hope our police will never find my car :D

i love the turbo and the original gearbox. on our "autobahn" (highway) i can drive 150 kmh and a BMW M5 cannot catch me if i kick the gas.

at next i want made a dyno of the legacy.

380CC injectors? I'm not familiar with that turbo, how big is it compared to a TD05 or TD04?

VF35 The VF35 has identical internals as the VF30 and it uses divided thrust bearings. However, the exhaust housing is a P15 which means this turbo will have fantastic spool characteristics. This turbo is standard on the new WRX Type RA. LIMITED SUPPLY.
Stock Turbo 360 CFM at 14.7 PSI

IHI VF35
(425cfm at 18 psi, 250-325whp, Bolt-On)

IHI VF28
(425cfm at 18psi, 250-325whp, Bolt-On)

TD05 14B 405 CFM at 14.7 PSI

TD05 Small 16G 505 CFM at 14.7 PSI

TD05 Big 16G 550 CFM at 14.7 PSI

sorr< vf35 is little bit smaller then td05 16g, but bigger then the original subaru td05-h from jdm sti

I see. Shouldn't you be running larger injectors? You aren't worried about running lean? 20% more flow over stock.

You've validated the engine has enough fuel with a wideband I hope and datalogging. Otherwise, your injectors are very likely static while WOT and likely AFR is very lean.

I know from my own personal wideband and data logging that TD05H-16G with stock injectors at stock boost of ~8 PSI maxes them out in the mid-rpm range...

I would agree, that the boost pressure you are running on the stock injectors is going to kill the engine.
The JDM TD05-16G actually runs 505 CFM- meaning it flows more than your VF-35. And the JDM ECU runs at 14PSI max ( 1 bar boost) with the 440's.

Based on the math of flow VS injector size, I would not be running 1.3 bar on that turbo with the stock injectors. We have proven on stock injectors and the TD04, we can go static at around 14-16 lbs- which is a smaller turbo.

I would turn down the boost to .9 bar until you upgrade the injectors.

Currently, he runs only even with one bar boost pressure
1.3 bar, I had only tested once for a short time, but it has wonderful with a fuel cut defender and boost controller works without problems.

a friend is driving his legacy turbo with 1,4bar and original vf12 @ 300hp with original injectors with no problems. and he is driving his legacy with autogas.

and next i will install the 440 injectors to get more if i drive the 1.2 bar in the future.

the vf35 is the most beautiful of the turbo spooled fast, faster than a td05-16g, that is, the boost is due to much faster
