I'm just being safe. The haynes manual didn't say anything about using one, but like I said just bein safe.

are you just taking the whole strut assembly off the car? are you replacing the whole strut/spring or what are you doing exactly?

Just unbolting it from the bottom at the knuckle. I've never dealt with struts before, but I'm pretty sure I won't need one Because they're one unit unless I'm gonna take my strut apart. I know this was a dumb question but I just wanted to be safe..

no problem...no compressor is needed. you will be fine if you are just unbolting the strut from the knuckle.

You can completely remove the spring/strut assembly from the vehicle as a whole unit without using a compressor.

just don´t try to take the strut apart without one, u will end up with 12 stitches in your forehead :lol: don´t ask me how i know
