Welcome to the BBS Elizabeth!

Does any of your other vent control work? ie. defrost, defrost heat, heat, bi-level, vent, etc?

If not, chances are good that the control unit solder joints are cracked and don't allow proper control of the mode selector. I've got a sticky thread in this forum on this issue.

Depending on your skill level, you could replace the HVAC control unit with another one, or try and have the joints soldered.

What year is your Legacy?

Low charge in the A/C system would cause your defrosters to not work properly. I'd check to make sure your system is charged up enough,

Just an update.. The defroster's magically started working again and no issues sense then. Only difference is that here is Michigan, the temp warmed up a little for a few days. Possible they were literally froze in that position? Will never know, but glad to have my defrost back in working order :)
