I'm rocking the LC-1. I dont know where you're located, but if in washington, theres a guy selling a "new" aem for like $160 on CL.

Re: recommended wideband kit
I like it. I had the o2 sensor burn out on me after like 3000 miles, which i wasn't happy about. I dont know if it ws because my car was/is running SUPER rich at idle or if it was just a faulty sensor. I bought another for like $45-$50 from autozone and its all good, for now. I only have about 1000 on this one, lol.

Re: recommended wideband kit
I too have the LC-1 and XD-16 gauge. Works well, although one must calibrate it every 3-6 months like the manual states. Otherwise it some times forgets what AFR its using.
additionally, the LC-1 is one of the only gauges which properly detects when the wideband is defective -- other sensor units do not.

Re: recommended wideband kit
Ok how do you recalibrate it? Is it hard can you do it by yourself?

Re: recommended wideband kit
Can you change the af ratio with the gauge or using the data logging stuff. I'm a big noob when it comes to the more higher tech things I guess. Or anything in that nature really.

Re: recommended wideband kit
If you wish to learn how a specific wideband sensor works, I'd strongly suggest downloading the manual from the manufacturers website -- any respectable company will have them online.
Yes, recalibrating the LC-1 with XD16 is done via a few button presses. Yes, the LC-1 you can set any AFR ratio you wish via a PC and their software; along with changing the narrow O2 output curve.

Re: recommended wideband kit
Alright well sweet. I was kinda leaning towards the aem but now the lc1 is looking pretty good.

Re: recommended wideband kit
Do you use the o2 sensor it came with as your primary? Or do you still have your stock one in place then running a separate one for your wideband?

Re: recommended wideband kit
I'm separate. Left the stock one alone, and am running my wideband strictly as an a/f measuring device upstream of the cat.
