car wotn start

93 legacy sedan 2.2L at. it wont start. i dont have power to the ignition relay. from the alternator. the didoe is good and has power passing through it. but not very much power passing through it. maybe 1 volt. from the yellow wire to the diode under the dash. the brown connector F50 i am getting close to the same coming out of the other side of the diode.

is this yellow wire coming from the alternator only activated when the alternator turns? i cant get the blet back on yet. and was tryign to start the car without the belt. but it wont start.

The ignition switch is what provides power to the ignition relay. Have you checked it?

the switch is fine. the alternator was out. and not giving secondary power to the relay. i havent put a new alt on yet.
