Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Gotcha. are the horns on a 12v already? I asked a couple friends who had used super tones in the past, and they said that was as loud as they get, but i should probably try the relay myself and see what i get. it was really easy to just use the existing wires though since i had already extended them to behind the grille.
Here's the mats i picked up: https://www.subarugenuineparts.com/prod ... cts_id=555
if you do a search for mats there's several different sets for the same price though. I'll try and get you pictures tonight.
also, one of the forester and one of the impreza cargo trays is 20 bucks right now, i got it just to try:

Alright, here's the mats:
Driver's Side Front:
Passenger Side Front:
Rear:
I put the tray in too. It says forester instead of subaru, so that was a bummer. It's about 3 inches too short in the back, and the contour is not exactly right, but it's relatively close:

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Yeah no problem. I stole the idea from SiCkSTi04, but I wasn't sure if that cargo tray would fit in the sedan or not. So at 20 bucks...why not.
Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Are you asking whether the existing horns are on a 12v relay? If so, yes they are. However the stock wiring is not as large and runs longer, so you won't get quite as much juice out of them. If they sound fine now, they should be good. The wiring in my car may have just been older...who knows.originalcyn wrote:Gotcha. are the horns on a 12v already? Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
I need to do that too and install my adjustable intermittent wiper multiswitch. Was gonna buy a really cool dual readout device that goes in the vent for my afr and boost but im saving the money instead so i might as well install the gauges for the time being. Hate ghetto stuff like gauges hanging by wires.

Replaced an inner torn boot on right side cv axle on 01 RS. What did I learn?
-A magnetic punch made life so much better putting that roll pin back in.
-One of the holes on the green cup is counterbored...use that side to push the roll pin back in
-there is really no practical substiute for C-clip pliers (home depot $20 for a good pair)
-I hate those clamps, have 2 "normal" screw type clamps on hand to replace them with
-remember to mark your camber bolt position (I did)

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
I second that!! haha. I can't find a stock replacement for crap, can't find a JDM tranny for crap, might just get a WRX tranny until i can afford straight cut gears or 6mt whatever I decide doing later on down the road.CAV3MAN227 wrote:-I need a tranny!

Today: Started re-locating my coolant tank to the "ABS mount" location, and working on getting all new studs/bolts/nuts for my JDM TD05 I got for $100, no shaftplay. I sold my TD04 for $100 as well so i basically got a JDM Td05 for free

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Been building a new light bar. Its all bolt together since I don't have access to a welder. I'm almost finished with it, gotta add a vertical brace from the old bar the the new upper bar then paint it black and be done with it. Currently, it shakes like crazy and looks pretty bad since the top angle iron bar is red and white while the two bars that come out from under the hood are rusty, lower bar is still orange. Pictures to come once its finished whice should be tomorrow. Oh yeah, I just remembered. Today, marked 260,000 on the entire car. What a great car, I love it. Edit, mileage picture.

Re: What did you do to your Subie today?
Didn't finish the light bar but I did paint it black so it looks a ton better. And installed a '98 Outback maplight/sunglass holder, that was quite the project. Had to pull the headliner, cut out the map light hole a whole lot, switch the plugs between the map light units, re-install the headliner, and put the Outback maplight/ sunglass holder in. Theres a few gaps and the colors don't match but I don't really care. Its a sweet addition. No pictures though as I finished at 10:45 pm.
